These pictures are from the house in Valdres where I spent my weekend. There is a small group of us who go every year. The place is (finally) under renovation, but the old interior has its charm, I guess.
The lamp stand is like something extra terrestrial. And someone made a lot of effort carving trolls into the sideboard.

what the hell is that lampstand?!! it looks like a cross between root ginger and elephant poo! god...that will appear in my nightmares!
Hahaha. It's actually a tree root. The best part (which unfortunately doesn't show in the pic): it has scary red lights shining out of cracks in the base! The maker of this thing really went wild with his creation.
