Inger Waage items

While I'm still working (slowly) on the aforementioned collage, I'll treat you to a glimpse of some Stavangerflint beauties. They are handpainted and designed by Inger Waage (possibly the most famous artist working for Stavangerflint). The finish is a beautiful semi-matte eggshell colour. I only just recently found the largest of these dishes on Etsy, the other two I acquired through a thrift store and on ebay a few years ago. The smallest dish is for holding a tobacco pipe.

A friend in the States found a Stavanger folk-art plate in a charity shop the other day and offered to send it down to me in New Zealand. I didn't love it enough to justify the expense, so I politely declined, but I think if it had been like your ones I might have taken her up on it! I particularly like the pipe bowl.

I really like these Inger Waage items. I was luck enough to find a Man with Mandolin plate recently and have put a couple of shots on Potshots.

These are beauties! I would never be able to visit a fleamarket with you cause we would end up fighting over the same things!
