Dollhouses

I was flabbergasted when I came across this post by Bliss. The pictures was originally feaured on Rusted Mustard blog. It's great to see that I'm not the only adult out there still enjoying dollhouses. Isn't this life-size one great? Not to mention the concept itself. And seeing the house from the back, you could never imagine what it hides on the other side. The artist is called Heather Benning.

I'm adding a couple of pics from my own dollhouse. It's a 70s BRIO one.I recently got the new kitchen chairs. Red velvet... How practical, eh? The lounge suite was a find on ebay.

How cool! I don't think girls ever grow out of wanting/loving dollhouses. I think it is in our genes to enjoy the creativity of decorating a dollhouse, making it our own.

I found your blog from inspirational bubble.

Hello all of you! Thanks for leaving your comments - it's always nice to hear people's views on things. I seem to remember I got a few comments the last time I posted about this subject too. Dollhouses must be striking a chord with a lot of us :-)

Hi! Just came over here from Biba's blog. I, too, am a dollhouse fanatic, so this is a great first post to read on your blog! I want to see more pix of your dollhouse!

I too have a secret desire for a dolls house! Yours is gorgeous, you can really indulge in the kind of decor you like but couldn't live in! One day (when i have more spare time) i want to make and furnish a super cool retro one like yours :)

This is such a co-incidence. I just finished assembling my daughter's first dollhouse for her third birthday tomorrow.

Oooh, a life-sized doll's house... The 5 year old in me wants to move in... while adult me is worrying about whether I'd get cold with the side of my house missing ;)
