Nesodden architecture

I brought my camera along on our Sunday walk this weekend. These are some of the houses around here.

Kyststien!

Hei Gro!
Joda, det huset er ganske digert. Ser nesten industrielt ut.

Wow - cool homes! Are those little fishing huts on those docks, or actual sleeping cottages? I would make one into a little design studio. Biba sent me to you. Love your blog!

Hi, Cottage Cheese! Thanks for your comment. Those little houses are bath houses. People used them to change into their swimming costumes and jump off into the sea :-) Nowadays I think they are used as sleeping cottages. I would LOVE to own one and yes, I agree - it would make a great little studio. No electricity, though...

We live in such different areas (I'm in Southern California) and the architecture is quite different as well. I love those little ones right on the shore - adorable!

Oh so lovely! I am rather obsessed with Scandinavia at the moment ... I wish I could live in Norway, at least for a year or two. It seems that everything is very different there (I'm comparing with Australia) - such magnificent landscapes, delicious design, soft, languid light ..... *sigh!*!
