Opera house details

Here are some of the architectural details of the Oslo opera house that caught my eyes today.

Possibly my favorite details are the 'mesh' walls surrounding the cloak room area. Designed by the marvelous Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson.

It's interesting, although they are radically different buildings overall, your detail shots remind me very strongly of the Sydney Opera House. Many of the angles and open areas outside have a similar feel, and the interiors also have a reminiscent feel to them. Must reflect the Scandinavian design ethic of both! :) Plus of course that the once seriously dated '70s interior of the Sydney Opera House is now right back in fashion :D
