Birthday

It is my birthday today. Not much to celebrate as the big 4-0 is getting dangerously close now... However, I got these lovely flowers from my boys. We had a great lunch in town then headed off to Stenersen Museum to catch a photo exhibition by Sally Mann. The photographs were great but I can see why they're controversial. I preferred her landscapes, to be honest.

Happy birthday! Hope you had a great day!

I saw the Mann exhibition this spring, and loved it. Not the pics of her kids as grown ups though, I thought they were too creepy.
I still remember one of the landscape pictures, it's a road surrounded by big trees hanging over it. The perspective is kind of impossible in that pic, and I am still wondering what kind of lense she was using. You could somehow see the trees from different angles all at once. Very strange, although at a quick glance, it looks totally normal. Do you know which photo I'm talking about?

Thanks, Emma!

I'm not quite sure I know which picture you mean - was it part of the Deep South series? Gosh, I feel like going back for a second look now..
